The agreement, in plain English.
The short version
AmberRoom is a sound therapy app for adults. It supplements wellness practice; it does not diagnose, treat, or cure any condition. Subscriptions are month-to-month or annual, cancellable any time. You retain ownership of any content you create. We retain ownership of the software. Don't scrape, reverse-engineer, or use the product to harm yourself or others. Disputes are resolved in the jurisdiction listed below. Refund window is 14 days.
Who these terms are with
AmberRoom is operated by AmberRoom, Inc. ("AmberRoom," "we," "us"), registered in the jurisdiction noted at the bottom of this page. These Terms govern your use of the service at amberroom.app and any subdomains.
Eligibility
You must be 18 or older to subscribe. Free use is permitted at 13 or older with parental consent in jurisdictions where the digital age of consent is below 18. We don't serve children under 13.

What the service is — and isn't
AmberRoom is a wellness product. It is not a medical device, telehealth service, or substitute for professional care. Anything AmberRoom claims about anxiety, sleep, tinnitus, pain, or any other condition is wellness framing supported by published research, not a clinical promise. See the Medical Disclaimer for the full version.
Acceptable use
- Don't use AmberRoom while operating a vehicle. Theta and delta entrainment is incompatible with driving alertness.
- Don't scrape, reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract proprietary recipes.
- Don't use the service to harass, defame, or target anyone.
- Don't bypass tier gating or attempt to access Pro features without a subscription.
- Don't use AmberRoom if you have a contraindication listed on the Contraindications page without first consulting a clinician.
Intellectual property
The AmberRoom software, recipe engine, audio synthesis algorithms, and brand are owned by AmberRoom. The bowl pitch tunings, frequency choices, and recipe metadata are licensed under a private commercial license and not redistributable. Open-source dependencies are listed in our third-party notices page (link active when the public repo is established).
User content
Session ratings and any text you submit are yours. You grant AmberRoom a non-exclusive, revocable license to use them for product improvement, anonymized aggregate research, and recommendation tuning. You can delete content from the account page; we delete the underlying record within 7 days.
Liability and warranty
The service is provided as-is. To the extent permitted by law, AmberRoom's aggregate liability for any claim arising from these Terms is limited to the amount you paid AmberRoom in the 12 months preceding the claim. We disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement that are not required by your local law.
Termination
You can stop using AmberRoom at any time. We can suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms — typically with notice and a cure period, immediately if the violation is harmful to other users or our operations.
Changes to terms
Material changes are emailed to all signed-up users at least 14 days in advance. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
Disputes
Governed by the laws of the operating jurisdiction. Disputes are resolved in the courts of that jurisdiction unless a binding arbitration clause applies in your jurisdiction. Class-action waivers and arbitration mandates are excluded where prohibited by local law (notably the EU and UK).
